Overview

Two completely different worlds — one extraordinary day. This tour from Saranda combines the ancient grandeur of Butrint with the quiet, authentic charm of Karahaxh, a mountain village that offers a rare window into traditional Albanian life. Available every Tuesday & Saturday.

Butrint – Layers of 27 Centuries

Your journey begins at the port of Saranda, heading to Butrint National Park — one of the most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Mediterranean. On foot along shaded forest paths, your guide walks you through the ruins of Greek walls, a Roman theatre, a Byzantine baptistery, and Venetian fortifications. This is history that you can touch, stand inside, and actually feel.

Karahaxh Village – Coffee with a View

After the ancient world of Butrint, your minibus climbs to Karahaxh Village, a peaceful mountain community with sweeping panoramic views. Stop here for lunch, coffee, and local desserts served in a setting that feels a world away from the coast below. The perfect contrast — and the perfect place to end an extraordinary day.
